Purpose: To reveal the changes of muscular tone during unilateral destruction of the midbrain

Object of Investigation: A Frog

Equipment: A dissection set, a basin with water

Course of work:

1. The frog’s midbrain is destroyed unilaterally.
2. The change in body position, the position of its head and its locomotive reaction is marked.
3. The frog is dipped in the water, the character of frog’s swimming movements is marked.
